1. Drying Speed Categories
Acrylic powders are classified by drying time to suit different skill levels and uses:
- Slow-Dry: 2–3 minutes — ideal for beginners.
- Medium-Dry: 1–2 minutes — suitable for most users.
- Fast-Dry: about 30 seconds — designed for competition or advanced technicians.
Note: Drying time can also be affected by ambient temperature and humidity.
2. Yellowing of Acrylic Powder
Yellowing can result from:
- Improper ratio of initiator (such as benzoyl peroxide) in the powder.
- Lower-quality raw materials.
We use imported, high-quality powder that resists yellowing. Some lower-cost powders made with domestic materials may yellow over time.
Important: Yellowing can also be caused by using poor-quality monomer liquid.
3. Monomer Liquid – Solubility is Critical
High solubility in the monomer liquid is essential. If the liquid does not dissolve the acrylic powder fully, clumps or granules may remain, preventing the formation of a smooth, workable acrylic bead and compromising the final result.
